Thousands of Pendle residents are ready to pioneer their green recycling boxes.
Three new kerbside collection vehicles have started the rounds with the first recycling collections having started from Monday 14th February in Earby and part of Barnoldswick.
0ver 35,000 homes will have a green box by the end of February to maximise recycling right across Pendle.
Existing recyclers are reminded to look out for the new recycling information calendar for 2005, and to note that their day of collection may have changed.
Coun. John David, Executive Member for the Environment, said: “We are delighted that the wagons are hitting Pendle's streets, meaning that the majority of Pendle's residents can now recycle from the comfort of their own homes.”
