Park Ranger Service

The Park Ranger Service maintains a welcome presence within Pendle's 11 parks, 6 cemeteries, 5 playing fields and 38 playgrounds.

The Events Officer and Park Rangers organise and run events in various parks all year round. These include Bird Box Days, Nature Walks and Pond Dipping Weekends, fun days and one off activities.

The Events Officer and Park Rangers liaise with schools doing activities such as nature conservation. The Rangers are increasing their involvement with schools to educate children in respect of their local environment and appreciation of facilities provided by the Borough.

The Parks Outreach Officer, Events Officer or the Head Ranger can be contacted regarding events or other park and playground matters at Marsden Hall Farm, Walton Lane, Nelson or by telephoning 01282 661600/11. Alternatively, you can e-mail the Parks section at parks@pendle.gov.uk
