Friends Groups
Eight friends groups have been formed and others are to be formed.
The friends groups work with the Council to help improve the Parks and contribute valuable ideas for the future of the Parks.
Regular meetings are held to discuss a variety of issues including projects that are of particular interest to the groups. Friends groups have also participated with fun days and clean up events.
Friends groups are very effective as they give the public a say about their local Parks. Often the public is more aware of problems within the park than ourselves as members of the Friends Groups are frequent users of the park and their facilities, so we are always keen to listen to their views.
The Park Ranger Service attends all friends meetings so you are able to discuss any issues concerning the Parks with them.
