Council Tax - the final figures
Council Tax in Pendle will rise by 3.34% this year, which is slightly lower than the predicted amount of 3.5%. To find out how this will affect how much you pay, please read the full press release.
The Council has started its collection from residents in Pendle of tins, glass bottles and cans as part of the 'Recycle for Pendle' scheme. It is using three new 'kerbsider' collection vehicles to make sure this new scheme run smoothly.
Lambing season - dog owners warned
People are asked to keep their dogs on a lead when walking them in the Pendle countryside to avoid frightening ewes and causing them to lose their lambs.
Pendle Council is to enter into a Public-Private Partnership with Liberata. This will lead to a new £5 million business centre being built, create 300 new jobs and could save substantial amounts of money every year.
