Group Repair Schemes
Group Repair schemes consist of repairs to the external fabric of a building. (For example - re-roofing, stone cleaning, re-pointing, replacement external doors and windows etc.)
The current programme for Group Repair Schemes is being carried out in the conservation area of Nelson West (more info ) in two phases over the next 9 months approximately.
Group Repair schemes are currently being considered by the council in other areas of the Borough, within the Housing Market Renewal Pathfinder area.
These grants are subject to a Test of Financial Resources (means test), (more details on the Test Of Resources) to establish whether or not the applicant has a contribution to make towards the cost of the works. The test is prescribed by Parliament and the Council has no discretion over its use, or the results obtained from it.
