

Pendle Borough Council have prepared a Local Development Scheme which details the Council's intentions and timescales for the preparation of a Local Development Framework. The Local Development Scheme was considered by the Government Office for the North West on behalf of the Secretary of State and was brought into effect on 11th February 2005. The Local Development Scheme will be reviewed at the end of 2005.

A revised edition of the Local Plan is currently in production. This revised edition will be ready to go out to consultation in February/March 2005. For details of the consultation carried out in 2004, see below.
All objections to Policy 3 (Green Belt), 12 (Settlement Character), the Housing Chapter, Strategy and Appendices have now been considered by Officers and were reported to a Special Executive meeting held on Wednesday 6th October 2004.
Representations in support of or, making general comment to a policy were also be considered. In addition, the Special Executive decided whether or not to consider any late representations as formal objections to 1st Stage Deposit Local Plan. Those submitting late representations have been advised through previous correspondence.

Alternatively copies have been made available for reference in all Libraries, Council shops and Town Halls throughout Pendle.
