


The Planning Portal is available to you in association with the Borough of Pendle's Planning Services. The Planning Portal is intended to be the first point of call for anyone who wants to find out about the planning system in England and Wales.
It is aimed at everyone, from central government and local authorities to planning professionals and interested lay people.
The Planning Portal offers the latest National Planning News, access to Regulations and Guidance Notes for Applications, and information on the procedure for Appeals.

This section provides a brief introduction to the planning system and some explanation of why planning controls are necessary. It includes general guidance about the kinds of work for which you need to apply for planning permission and those for which you do not. it is intended for both householders and business people.
Applying for Planning Permission
In this section you can create electronic applications. The Borough of pendle does not currently support applications submitted electronically, but you can use this service to help to produce your proposal, print your forms, and return them by post. To use this service, you will need to register with the Planning Portal and create a User Name and Password. You can also use this service to purchase a site location plan to accompany your application.

This section is aimed at planning professionals and those with an in-depth interest in planning policy and reform.
