
Councillor Dorothy Lord is the Worshipful the Mayor of Pendle
The Mayor of Pendle for the year 2004/2005 is Councillor Mrs. Dorothy Lord, the Ward member for Horsfield. She is supported in her role as Mayor by her Mayoress, Mrs. June Aspden, a family friend.
Councillor Lord was born in Accrington . She moved to Colne in 1971. She has worked within the public sector all her working life both with children and adults. She currently works for the National Health Service.
Councillor Lord become interested in politics in her early 20's. She was first elected to Pendle Borough Council in 1996 for the Vivary Bridge Ward of the Borough. She was then re-elected in 2001 for the Horsfield Ward. She is a member of the Liberal Democrat Group.
Councillor Lord is married to John. They has a son Robert, daughter Louise and grandson Josh.
