Chief Executive
Stephen Barnes
The Chief Executive is responsible for the overall policy, direction and co-ordination of the Council.
Executive Director (Regeneration)
Brian Cookson
The Director (Regeneration) has particular responsibility for the following Service Areas: Highways, Engineering and Design, Estates and Property, Planning and Building Control, Urban Renewal, Environmental Health and the Regeneration Unit. He is the Co-ordinating Director between the Council and Pendle Partnership, a Director of Pendle Partnership, and he represents the Council on the Pendle Partnership Delivery Agency and the three Community Economic Development Partnerships. He also co-ordinates the Colne Area Committee.
Executive Director (Services)
John Kirk
The Director (Services) has particular responsibility for the co-ordination of the Council's services to the public, particularly Housing, Parks and Cemeteries, Construction, Cleansing, and Community Services, along with the broader aspects of service provision in all service areas. He also co-ordinates the Nelson Area Committee.

The Executive Director (Community Engagement) has particular responsibility for Democracy and Public Involvement.
