Sources of Financial Assistance

This page provides a brief summary of the grants that are potentially available to businesses in Pendle. For a more detailed breakdown of each individual grant, use the links below. The individual grants listed should enable both local and inward moving businesses to apply for financial assistance towards a wide range of investment projects:

Type of Investment

Grant

Building Improvements and Extensions
Construction of New Business Premises
Relocation Costs
Acquisition of Plant and Equipment
Environmental Improvement Works
Introducing New Production Methods
Exhibition Attendance
Security Improvements
Information Technology

Anyone wishing to apply for a grant should discuss their proposals with the contact shown on the grant summary sheets in order to determine their eligibility. For example, some grants will regard specific sectors (i.e. retailing) to be ineligible or exclude certain businesses because of their size.

The eligibility criteria for each grant are often not the decision of the body awarding the grant, but the result of restrictions placed upon them by the funding provider (usually the European Union or the Government). For example, the majority of grants are restricted to micro (1-9) employees, small (10-49) and medium (50-249) sized enterprises, frequently referred to by the acronym SMEs.

The availability of grant assistance is constantly changing, so please enquire before proceeding with a proposed investment. Retrospective applications (i.e. for any investment that has been made prior to a grant application being submitted) are not eligible for grant assistance.
