Rural Small Buildings Scheme

Scope:

The objectives of the scheme are to:

• create new workspace and job opportunities
• encourage the growth of small businesses (including social and community enterprises) to help diversify the local economy
• enhance the environment by converting unused and semi-derelict buildings to new uses

The development of new building space can only be assisted where this is ancillary to the refurbishment of an existing building.

Amount:

• Up to 25% of the eligible costs

Maximum:

• £62,500

Eligible:

Grant assistance is available towards eligible renovation and building costs. Building costs can include the installation of services, access and car parking and landscaping if required by the relevant planning permission

The scheme is subject to a minimum grant award of £2,500
