Brierfield Canal Corridor Draft Planning Brief (Supplementary Planning Document (SPD))
Under the Housing Market Initiative, the Council has prepared a draft Planning Brief for the Brierfield Canal Corridor Housing Project area. The draft brief accompanied by a Sustainability Appraisal is currently out for public consultation - ending on Monday 28th February 2005. Following the public consultation exercise, the planning brief will be revised as necessary, taking into consideration valid comments received. The revised brief will then be considered by the Council for formal adoption as a SPD to Pendle's Local Plan.

Making comments
If you wish to make any comments or representations on the Draft Planning Brief document (SPD), you can do so by writing to the HMR Manager, Pendle Borough Council, Pendle Borough Council, Nelson Town Hall, Market Street, Nelson, BB9 7LG. Comments can also be made via e-mail at hmr@pendle.gov.uk
Please state in any representations you make if you wish to be notified of the adoption of the SPD.

Public Meeting
As part of the public consultation exercise, a special meeting has been arranged for the councillors of Pendle Council's Brierfield and Reedley Area Committee, at which the draft Planning Brief will be presented and discussed. The meeting is open to the public and residents are welcome to attend. The meeting is to take place on:
Wednesday 26th January, commencing at 7.00pm at Walter Street Primary School, Walter Street, Brierfield.
